Besides being a bargain hunter, I am a huge planner. I like to make lists of things I need to do daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, and plan way ahead to make sure I have time to get everything done. Because of this, I arrive early to most places and have back up supplies when needed. Mix this with the bargain hunter side of me and you get someone who plans her purchases way ahead in order to save money. Whenever I need to buy something, I make a mental note of it, the price I’m willing to pay for it and then I wait until I find something that meets these requirements. Sometimes it will take me years to find what I want, and I’m willing to wait. Because I know I can find what I want at my desired price eventually, I will not settle for paying more, just to have it sooner. One of the best ways to do this is buy things at the end of their season when they go on sale to make room for the next season’s items.
My older brother is obsessed with watches. He wasn’t always that way. I think his obsession started when he married a girl that was huge into accessories and things that sparkled. He also finished school, started working for a classy company and began making good money, so I think he felt like he needed to dress the part. He now has a several watches, most of them very expensive and when he tells me what brand they are, I have no idea what he’s talking about. All I know is that the name must mean something fancy and that it must have cost more than I spend on clothes in a year. In light of my obvious lack of knowledge regarding watches, I have found two sites that satisfy both the novice and expert person looking to purchase a new watch.
I am 5′10″ tall and my husband is 6′2″ tall. I have been this height since I was about 14 years old and the same goes for my husband. We now have a beautiful five year old daughter that is in the 90th percentile for height and weight. We exercise regularly and eat very healthy food, but I am still a plus sized woman and my husband wears XXL in most things. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Are you one of those people who was built a little larger than most of your friends? If so, I have a great new place to find clothes that will fit your style and your budget.
Many young girls are very picky about their apparel. Some even dream about designing their own clothes. When I was young we’d do this by putting puff paint on our clothes, but I have to say those designs didn’t last long and they were actually very lame. There are of course the patches you can either sew on, or iron on, but those are also really cheesy and come off a lot of the time. There has to be a better way to let your girls flex their clothing designer muscles.
I am a tomboy and have always been a tomboy. Like most tomboys, I am not a fan of wearing lots of makeup, jewelry or uncomfortable shoes like stilettos. If I have to choose between comfort and fashion, I always choose comfort. I have however found some clothes and shoes that fit into both categories. I found a pair of black, knee high boots a few years ago that I absolutely love. They are dressy enough to wear with skirts and dresses, but comfortable enough to wear with jeans. I think every woman needs a good pair of boots that she can wear all throughout the winter season.

I have a problem when it comes to buying shoes and I think some other women might have that same problem. I’m a tall woman and therefore have always had large feet. When I hit my full height at the age of 15 my feet were a size 10. Although I didn’t like having relatively large feet, I was ok with it because most shoes went up to a size 10. Then I had my first child and my feet suddenly grew to a 10.5. My shoes were a little snug, but I could deal with it. After my second child my feet were definitely a size 11 and I could no longer fit into any of my shoes. Ya, it totally sucked. I had to give away all my shoes to my sister and other friends. I quickly found out that once you move past a size 10, it’s much harder to find a good selection of women’s shoes. Since then I’ve been making due with whatever I could find on sale, but within the past week I discovered Zappos.com and things are looking up.
If you have ever been pregnant, you know what it is like finding stylish maternity clothes. Jeans for me were the worst! Seems like I could only find big, baggy jeans when I was pregnant with my boys several years ago. Well, somebody finally figured out that even if you are pregnant, you still would like to look cute and stylish. Your legs aren’t pregnant, just your belly! So, why should you have to wear bulky jeans?
So I have been looking for a sunhat in preparation for this summer. I am almost 30 years old with many days of my life spent in the great outdoors. In a recent mirror examination I found sun spots! Well, I guess it is to be expected. The protection of my skin, especially of my face, I find very important. So that is how I started out on this quest to find an sun hat that is actually stylish and hip! Here is what I found…
My husband is horrible at surprises. I have to say, I’m not much better but I do try. A few days ago he told me that he found something online I would really like for Mother’s Day. He wanted me to take a look at it and make sure before he ordered it, so I did of course because I was excited to see what he had chosen. He was dead on and I couldn’t wait for them to get delivered to our house. Well, they came today and I love them!
