Valentine’s Day is just one week away. Since you have found this blog, I can bet you probably haven’t already found that special gift for that special someone in your life yet. It seems to get harder and harder to find a meaningful gift for Valentine’s Day. This year I was fortunate to stumble across some helpful suggestions from Ice.com. They are a jewelry retailer that specializes in Valentine’s Day jewelry.
Valentine's Day Watches
Like many people, I have a horrible story about a Valentine’s Day that was ruined by someone who gave me a lame gift. I was 17 years old and my boyfriend showed up with a Panda Bear dressed in a referee shirt and a candy bar that he obviously picked up at a gas station on the way over. He gave me the gift and I was so upset, I broke up with him that night. Now I am not the kind that expects diamonds or something expensive, but I do expect you to put some thought into it.
Valentine’s Day is only 14 days away and you want to make sure you don’t forget about it this year! Take some time to really think about something that your girl will love. Something that is personal and meaningful. Consider inside jokes you may have, a romantic memory, a favorite song. Put some meaning into your gift. Girls like the thought behind the gift almost as much as ( if not more than) the gift itself. If you’re having a hard time getting some ideas, consider these:
What comes to mind when you hear the word gadget? Some of you may be thinking of the different kitchen gadgets you have that help with chopping, mixing, blending, mincing, grinding, slicing or cooking. Some of you, including myself, may be thinking about the 1980’s cartoon series Inspector Gadget. I have very fond memories watching that show as a kid, and have even watched it recently with my 5 year daughter. Although I love great kitchen gadgets and watching an awesome retro cartoon show, I’m here to talk about electronic gadgets that the men in your life may be interested in.
It seems like the hardest people to shop for are the men in our lives, Husbands, Brothers, Fathers, Grandpas. When asked what they want, they don’t have an answer (or it is lame, like a pair of socks or a tie). They seem to have everything and what can you get someone who has everything?

Have you ever heard of Vista Print? I hadn’t until a few minutes ago when I was searching couponbuzz for some new Valentine’s Day ideas. I love Buy.com and am very lucky since I do the promotions for them each week so I always get a first look at what deals they are running. Besides the fact that there are monthly coupons, there are also often great deals on particular items. When I saw this one for earrings, I immediately thought of Valentine’s Day and these poor, clueless men that never know what to get. 
Sweet Treats
Congratulations, you did it! You made is through the holidays. I’m not sure if you feel that way, but I certainly do. I do my best to prepare for them ahead of time to lessen stress amidst the craziness, but regardless of what I do, there is always added stress in the fall and early winter. It is now the middle of January and I just realized today that before I know it, Valentine’s Day will be here. Granted, I don’t do a ton for that day because I tend to boycott the idea that we should be more lovey on that day than any other day, but I have a four year old that loves doing craft projects and would feel very sad if she didn’t participate in the exchange of cards on that special day.
Get Yourself a New Axe
So, I was updating my coupons and promotions when I came across one that really made me laugh. It was from MUSIC123 and it said, “Celebrate the ex with a new axe.” I wasn’t sure what an “axe” was in this context so I had to ask my husband. Apparently it’s slang for guitar. Who know?! Anyway, I think it’s awesome that they’re promoting this because it’s a perfect gift for a guy or girl who really despises the whole idea of Valentine’s Day and just wants to rock out on the guitar.
