Plush Bunny Basket

Plush Bunny Basket

Do you ever get tired of doing the same things for holidays?  My family growing up was very big on tradition and so we ended up doing the same things every year.  In some ways, it was fun and nostalgic, but now that I am a parent I find myself questioning why we do certain things over and over again.  I want to make sure I make great memories with my family doing the things I really want to do.  When it comes to Easter, I’m not a fan of peeps, cadbury eggs or jelly beans.  Instead of giving my daughter a basket full of this stuff, I’d rather make something from scratch that she could enjoy.  I also don’t like the cookie cutter Easter baskets everyone gets at their local grocery store that fall apart really easily.  I would rather she make her own basket, like we did last year, or find a unique one she can use each year.

In searching I found a really cute basket from Orange Onions.  They sell three variations of this plush basket that is in the shape of a buggy car being driven by a bunny, lamb or duck.  The animal sits up from with the back seat open for collecting eggs.  There is even a button that kids can push to hear the driver say, “Happy Easter.”  Orange Onions also has a really cute egg shaped and decorated cupcake pan.  The cupcakes come out shaped like eggs with indentations already there to help with decorating.  Joann.com also has an egg shaped mini cake pan, but these eggs are not quite as ornate.  They also sell a bunny shaped mini cake pan and a 3D cake pan in the shape of a bunny or egg.  Whatever your Easter baking desire may be, Joann.com has what you’re looking for.

If you are looking for a gift to give to an adult this Easter, I have a great idea for you.  Although I don’t like to eat peeps, I do find them very fun to look at.  Lenox sells a set of salt and pepper shakers in the shape of peeps.  How cute would that be on your table around Easter time?  If you are a parent of older kids who may be parents themselves, may I suggest you send them Easter baskets fit for adults?  The Popcorn Factory has a great selection of fun baskets and tins full of Easter goodies that would be a very pleasant surprise.  Just because they’re not kids anymore doesn’t mean they don’t want to receive their own Easter basket.  Whatever you decide to do this Easter, make it special and enjoy spending time with the people you love.
