Besides being a bargain hunter, I am a huge planner. I like to make lists of things I need to do daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, and plan way ahead to make sure I have time to get everything done. Because of this, I arrive early to most places and have back up supplies when needed. Mix this with the bargain hunter side of me and you get someone who plans her purchases way ahead in order to save money. Whenever I need to buy something, I make a mental note of it, the price I’m willing to pay for it and then I wait until I find something that meets these requirements. Sometimes it will take me years to find what I want, and I’m willing to wait. Because I know I can find what I want at my desired price eventually, I will not settle for paying more, just to have it sooner. One of the best ways to do this is buy things at the end of their season when they go on sale to make room for the next season’s items.
I am 5′10″ tall and my husband is 6′2″ tall. I have been this height since I was about 14 years old and the same goes for my husband. We now have a beautiful five year old daughter that is in the 90th percentile for height and weight. We exercise regularly and eat very healthy food, but I am still a plus sized woman and my husband wears XXL in most things. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Are you one of those people who was built a little larger than most of your friends? If so, I have a great new place to find clothes that will fit your style and your budget.

Fashion Design for Girls
Many young girls are very picky about their apparel. Some even dream about designing their own clothes. When I was young we’d do this by putting puff paint on our clothes, but I have to say those designs didn’t last long and they were actually very lame. There are of course the patches you can either sew on, or iron on, but those are also really cheesy and come off a lot of the time. There has to be a better way to let your girls flex their clothing designer muscles.

Are babylegs for you?
Are you old enough to remember leg warmers? Did you ever watch your mom doing step aerobics to VHS tapes of women with feathered hair, wearing leotards and leg warmers? Did you wear them as a fashion statement when shoulder pads and acid washed jeans were still cool? If you can say yes to any of these questions, you were probably born no later than 1980. I was born in the late 70’s and I barely hit the tail end of this awesome fashion trend. I am now a thirty something with children and wonder what embarrassing style my children will remember about me. What would you say if you knew you could dress your kids in leg warmers like you once wore?
I have never been one to just go with the flow and follow what other people do. I like to do things my own
way. I don’t want my house to look like everyone else’s or my daughter to be look like every other kid her age. When I choose decorations for my house, or clothes for my family I seek out things that are different and interesting. I’m also drawn to items that don’t look like they are sold in the US or mass produced in some third world country that we can buy for really cheap at our local mega store. I would much rather spend a little more and get high quality items that say something about my personality. That is why I was so thrilled when I stumbled upon The Pyramid Collection.
Many years ago, before I was born, when you needed to buy something you went to the store, bought what you needed and went home. Occasionally you looked for sales or stores going out of business, but the buying process was simple. Fast forward to today and being a consumer is more difficult and complicated than ever. When you want to buy something you have the choice of doing it in person, over the phone, through a magazine or online. If you buy something in person you get the satisfaction of having it right then, but you don’t always know if you got a good deal on it. If you buy something online, you can usually search for a good price, but sometimes the item takes a while to get to you and you often have to pay shipping costs. The question I want to pose to you is how do you know if you’re shopping the smartest way you can?
Counting down the days to the arrival of your little one might also be the same countdown to being able wear “normal” clothes again. Maternity clothes can be awkward or comfortable, user friendly or confusing, a perfect fit or sized very wrong. It all depends on the cut, style and brand that you choose. What maternity clothes are essential for you? After having gone through two pregnancies, I made a list of the items that I find crucial to a comfortable and happy pregnancy wardrobe.
My list of essentials:
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall…we need kids clothes for them all!
It is hard enough to maintain a wardrobe for growing children, but we also have to buy those seasonal items as well. A few yearly essentials (depending on your location) may include a good winter coat, waterproof snow boots, beanies, gloves, rain jacket, rain boots, swimsuits, life jackets, etc. You also want these seasonal items to high enough quality to get great use! These items are outgrown just as fast as regular clothes, so how can we stay on top of these seasonal needs without braking the budget?
