Great CostumesGrowing up we never had a lot of money and I was the youngest of seven kids.  As you can imagine Halloween time was a hectic time for my mom.  It normally ended the same way, rushing from store to store trying to find a costume last minute.  This time around I want to do it right.  I update coupons for this website, so with Halloween not far away I started looking around.  I was impressed at the cost and selection they offered at Costume Discounters. I was able to sort them by price, themes, age groups, and more.

sports equipment 300x136 Family Fitness Activities

Family Fitness Activities

Memorial Day is the official start to warm weather and outdoor activities with your friends and family.  Although there are outdoor activities you can do with your family during winter time, most people don’t venture out until they can wear shorts and a t-shirt.  Getting outside with your family will encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, appreciation of nature and comradery.  There are endless possibilities of things to do no matter where you live, including hiking, biking, fishing, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, roller blading and much more.  You just need to decide what you’d like to do and do it.

When I was young we never had any money to go on trips or vacations.  The only thing we did was load up tea cups 300x200 Disneyland Trip To Rememberin our ten passenger van and drive from Oregon to Utah every summer tohugging snow white Disneyland Trip To Remember visit our cousins.  The trip was long, but we tried to have fun with it along the way.  I remember dropping oreos out the back windows to see how long they would roll before exploding.  We also got really good at making up dances with our feet on the ceiling.  Ya, this was before seat belts were strictly enforced.  When I got married my husband learned that I had never been to Disneyland so he promised to take me there.  About six months after we got married we drove to California and I got to experience Disneyland for the first time.  It was so much fun being there with just my husband acting like kids.  My daughter however didn’t have to wait until she was in her twenties to go to Disneyland.

miriam big bang visiting ut 213x300 Rocking Out To Old School Music

Nice Bangs!

So, it’s Monday morning and I’m updating my coupons while my toddler is in preschool and I’m trying to choose which music I want to listen to.  I subscribe to XM radio so I can listen to all the stations on my computer while I work.  You can always tell what kind of mood I’m in by style of music I’m listening to.  On stressful days I like to listen to stations called “chill” or “spa” which sound very earthy and soothing.  On energetic days I listen to a station called “the pulse” which is modern pop and rock hits.  However, today I’m feeling very lovey because my husband has been really sweet the past few days, so I’m listening to “the heart” which you can guess is all love songs.

tasi pool splash 251x300 Capturing Your Treasured Memoriestasi infant hand1 300x299 Capturing Your Treasured MemoriesI love taking pictures of my family, especially my 2 year old daughter.  I really try to capture the emotion of the moment so that when I look back at the picture I can remember what I was feeling when it happened.  I also try to take pictures that show the personality of the subject.  When we had our daughter I wanted to make sure I recorded her life very well so that she would know how loved she was and what she was like.  I think I’ve gone overboard with all the pictures I’ve taken of her, but I figure I’d rather have too many than not enough.
