Send Mom On A Trip!

Send Mom On A Trip!

We all know we’re supposed to get out mothers or wives something really nice for Mother’s Day, like flowers, a nice necklace or fun new kitchen gadget.  But what about something they really want?  Think about what an average day looks like for many mothers around the world.  They wake up, fix breakfast for everyone, make sure everyone gets off to school and work ok and then get to work themselves.  Whether it’s at home or in the corporate world, the job is still long and tiring.  At night they fix dinner for the family, help kids with homework, do the dishes, laundry and try to clean up the house.  After that’s done they figure out what other things they have to do in preparation for the next day, try to spend a few minutes of quality time with the spouse and go to bed exhausted from a long hard day.  So, what do you think would be a mom’s greatest wish for Mother’s Day?

When I was young we never had any money to go on trips or vacations.  The only thing we did was load up tea cups 300x200 Disneyland Trip To Rememberin our ten passenger van and drive from Oregon to Utah every summer tohugging snow white Disneyland Trip To Remember visit our cousins.  The trip was long, but we tried to have fun with it along the way.  I remember dropping oreos out the back windows to see how long they would roll before exploding.  We also got really good at making up dances with our feet on the ceiling.  Ya, this was before seat belts were strictly enforced.  When I got married my husband learned that I had never been to Disneyland so he promised to take me there.  About six months after we got married we drove to California and I got to experience Disneyland for the first time.  It was so much fun being there with just my husband acting like kids.  My daughter however didn’t have to wait until she was in her twenties to go to Disneyland.
