No, really

How do you survive on a tight budget? What kinds of meals do you prepare or go out and buy when times are that hard?

No, really

I actually had to eat actual beans and rice for many days in the past 2 months. Not just average beans and rice, but food storage. Not fun, but it works and it keeps the kids alive.

If you switch it up, like have tacos with it one night, burritos the other night, then maybe nachos, and try different ways to season it, it can make it much more bearable. :)

Yeah, we have been doing for most of the year now. The kids beg me to go get Little Caesar's pizza, which is actually a great deal right now: $5 hot and ready pepperoni or $8 if you want supreme. Supposedly hot and ready when you walk in the door to pick it up. We had to wait a few times.

Anyway, re: rice and beans, add some cumin and salt, maybe a little garlic and you're golden!
